Two ways to buy

Cashm8 card terminal: you get the terminal and the POS system from us as one package. The software is free, and you only pay a commission on card payments (0.99 %).

Your own terminal: you use the terminal you already have. The software is free then too and we take no commission, because the payment does not run through us. Your card acquirer bills its own fees separately.

Neither option has a setup fee, a monthly fee or a fixed contract, and the software is exactly the same.

POS app for Android devices

The till is an app, not a device. Install it on a phone or tablet you already own and you can start selling the same day.

You create products, combine them into bundles and sort them into categories so they are quick to find at the counter. You can also create discount codes for customers.

Customers pay in cash or by card. We support several card acquirers — VivaWallet, Poplapay, MobilePay, SumUp and others — and you choose the terminal yourself. We do not lock you to one provider, so you can put your transaction fees out to tender without changing your POS system.

Dashboard, reports and accounting

From the browser-based dashboard you manage products, product categories and terminals, and follow sales in real time, wherever you are.

You see sales and margin figures by day and by month, also per product, and download accounting reports directly. Sales data is handled electronically, so you do not have to dig out the figures by hand at year end. The data is also available through an API for your own systems.

Kitchen display for restaurants

Orders appear in the kitchen in real time on the chef's own tablet or screen. No paper slips, no misreadings. A finished order is cleared from the screen, so the floor can see where things stand.

The kitchen display is not a separate purchase — it is part of the same monthly fee. Customer receipts print straight from the POS app; we support the common receipt printers.

Ticket sales for events

Advance tickets are usually sold through several ticketing services, with more sold at the door. Cashm8 adds these together and shows the situation in real time in a single view.

Each event can have its own public tracking link that you can share with an artist or a partner without giving access to anything else.

Reconciling missed sales

In a rush it happens that a payment is taken on the card terminal but never entered in the till. Cashm8 finds these missed sales automatically: it compares terminal transactions against till entries and lists the payments with no matching entry.

A missing sale can be entered afterwards, with a discount if needed. The day’s till and the terminal settlement then match without anyone hunting for the difference by hand.

Supplier prices and margin calculation

Purchase prices update weekly from wholesalers’ online stores, so margin is calculated on current prices rather than last season’s list.

Supplier rebates are included in the real margin — without them the margin looks smaller than it is. The system also suggests a sale price once you give it a target margin.

Stocktaking and goods receipt

Stocktaking is done on a phone at the shelf. Incoming goods are recorded on receipt, which keeps stock levels and purchase prices current for the margin calculation.

Waiter app and table service Coming soon

These features are in development and not available yet. We list them so you know where the system is heading — do not base a purchase decision on them alone.

• Waiter app: orders straight to the table from a phone. The table can be picked from a list or from a floor plan, and your own tables are saved as per-device favourites. The app also works through a brief loss of connection: orders go out when the connection returns.
• Per-seat orders: the waiter can see which dish goes to whom.
• Splitting the bill by seat or by line. Each payer gets their own receipt, and a discount can be applied as part of the split.
• Payment at the table: a card payment straight on the waiter’s Android phone (Tap on Phone, Viva) or cash with a change calculator. The receipt goes out by email.
• Drink orders print to the bar printer straight from the waiter’s order.
• The kitchen display receives table orders the moment they are placed.
